Metaverse: Are we avatar now?

In 1992, science fiction writer Neil Stephenson first used the word "metaverse" in his novel "Snow Crash", in which he imagined different avatars appearing on 3D multi-levels, almost like humans. Today's Metaverse is such a virtual world.

I don't know where the technology is approaching with the virtual reality of Metaverse. Only God knows best about the future. But we can imagine and calculate probability. When we move from one end of the world to the other "virtually" through glasses, where the real human connection and the direction of work will go, is also a matter of concern.

We are currently living in the technology age and as time goes on we are stepping into the updated technology. We've been hearing about Metaverse for quite some time. Its technical meaning is very complex. But I will try to give you some idea about this. So you will understand easily.

Metaverse: Technical meaning

The word meta means self-aware. And the word Verse comes from the Universe. So, the word metaverse means a universe where the characters of the universe are self-aware of being in that universe.

Just imagine, you're playing FIFA 2021 game on the phone. There is Messi or Neymar, they are playing as a player. Now if Messi or Neymar knows that they are in the FIFA game, then we can call that FIFA game a metaverse. Now, of course, in the FIFA games that we play on the phone, neither Messi nor Neymar knows they are playing. Because he is not a self-aware creature inside the game.

Metaverse: According to Wikipedia

"The metaverse is a hypothesized iteration of the Internet, supporting persistent online 3-D virtual environments through conventional personal computing, as well as virtual and augmented reality headsets."

Let me explain in my own words. I think it will be easy.

Metaverse and My hypothesis

Imagine a world for a second, where a car company launched a new model car in the online market and, as a probable customer,  you can take the live experience of driving that car without touching it in reality. And the most astonishing point is, in that time, you may be sitting on your rocking chair inside your own house.

The same thing, before ordering a digital version of a dress. You may trial a lot of designs and colors virtually in that world. The subject may seem like a sci-fi movie based on science fiction. But to be honest, it is no longer in the imagination. The work of creating such technology has already started.

This technology will make the online virtual world feel a lot like the real world. Again, suppose, a friend of yours posted some beautiful pictures on Facebook while walking in the hills. This technology will make you feel like you are there when you visit Facebook. And the technology that will make this happen is called Metaverse.

That's just the beginning. Our future is going to be full of Meta.  Most likely, I can see the future. I have divided this future meta era into three steps by myself. Those are:

• Metaverse 1.0 - The Beginning
• Metaverse 2.0 - The Cinematography
• Metaverse 3.0 - The Real Life

But the most frightening step of Metaverse is the last step. In that step, there will be no difference between real life and virtual life. People will not understand then, is he in real life or virtual life? Well, what do you think?? Right now, are we in real life or inside the metaverse???
