To Prevent Omicron, Bangladesh Government Has announced 15 Instructions

Bangladesh government has announced 15 instructions to prevent corona variant Omicron in the whole country in 4th January, 2022.

There is a worldwide alert about the new variant of the Corona, the African variant Omicron. In Bangladesh too, the Department of Health has issued 15 instructions across the country to prevent this new variant, Omicron.


The instructions are:

1. Strengthen health check-ups and screening at ports for passengers arriving from Omicron affected countries;

2. All kinds of (social / political / religious/ Other) public gatherings should be discouraged;

3. Every person should ensure proper observance of all hygiene rules, including covering the nose and mouth properly and wearing a mask when going out of the house if necessary;

4. The seating arrangement in the restaurant should be half or less of the capacity;

5. Half or less of the capacity can participate in all kinds of public gatherings, tourist places, recreation centers, resorts, community centers, cinema halls / theater halls and social events (weddings, birthdays, picnics, parties, etc.);

6. All places of worship, including mosques, must ensure good hygiene, including the wearing of masks;

7. Ensure hygiene in public transport;

8. Passengers arriving from affected countries must ensure 14 days quarantine;

9. Ensure hygiene in all educational institutions (all madrasas, pre-primary, primary, secondary, higher secondary, including educational institutions, universities) and coaching centers;

10. At all healthcare institutions, service recipients, service providers and health workers should always ensure proper hygiene ;

11. Those who have not yet received Covid-19 vaccine should go to the vaccination center and take 1st and 2nd dose of Covid-19.

12. Isolation of corona patients with corona symptoms / symptoms and coronary arrangements for others who come in close contact with corona positive patients should be ensured;

13. A person with symptoms of Covid-19 may be assisted in isolation and co-ordination with local authorities for testing his or her saliva;

14. Make sure to cover your nose and face and wear a mask during office entry and stay. Hygiene must be logically ensured;

15. Even if you are vaccinated, you must wear a mask when you go out. Miking and campaigns can be conducted at the community level to create awareness about hygiene, including wearing masks, to control and control Covid-19 disease. In this case, if necessary, the mosque / temple  can use mike to create awareness. Elected representatives, including members of the ward councilor / union council can be involved in this regards.
